This is Colleen's favorite ride! After starting out from Jack's Creek Campground, and riding through dense, cool aspens and pine forests, we'll top out at a meadow with 360 degree views of the wilderness. You can see Pecos Baldy, Santa Fe Baldy, and all the way across the plains towards Las Vegas. Then we'll head back into the trees and keep heading further into the wilderness, ending our ride at the most stunning rocky outcrop overlooking the Pecos River. From here you get a bird's eye view of Beatty's Flats and Truchas Peaks. We'll head back from here after stopping for a break. We generally only recommend the full day ride for folks who have a little bit of riding experience, and are in very good physical fitness.
